Globalwine AG is restructuring their Purchasing Department. As of this month, David O'Halloran has joined the team, according to the Zurich-based wine distributor. In his role as Purchasing Director, the WSET Level 4 diploma holder will be responsible for both purchasing and producer management. O'Halloran has spent the last 26 years with the Globus Group, 16 of which were in charge of wine and spirits procurement.

Strengthening expertise and professionalization

By hiring O'Halloran, Globalwine AG is, in its own words, investing in expanding the core competencies of department responsibilities and further professionalizing its organizational structure. CEO Philipp Reher, who returned to Globalwine just this April, believes the new addition has them "perfectly positioned to achieve our business and growth goals in the coming years."
