Constellation Brands has acquired the Napa Valley-based luxury wine brand Domaine Curry. This acquisition expands the portfolio of The Prisoner Wine Company and the ASPIRA Fine Wine & Craft Spirits range, aiming to strengthen the company's commitment to women and minorities in the industry.

Domaine Curry was founded in 2018 by Ayesha Curry and Sydel Curry-Lee. The Managing Director of The Prisoner Wine Company, Bukky Ekundayo, stated, “The acquisition of Domaine Curry, a wine brand founded by women and African Americans, provides us with the opportunity to collaborate with Ayesha and Sydel to build a uniquely positioned luxury wine and culturally relevant lifestyle brand.” In the US, the brand is currently sold out and available through a waiting list.

Realigning the portfolio

Constellation Brands is pursuing a brand strategy and has realigned its wine and spirits portfolio. This acquisition supports the company's long-term goal of becoming a leading global corporation in the premium fine wine and craft spirits segment. In the past, Constellation Brands has strategically divested selected brands, such as "Cooper & Thief," as part of its pursuit to become a leading global corporation in the premium wine and craft spirits market.
