Robert Foye, CEO of Accolade Wines has resigned, according to as the online magazine Just Drinks. Accolade confirmed the change at the top to WEINWIRTSCHAFT. The resignation is the result of the sale of Pernod Ricard's wine brands to Accolade's owners, Australian Wine Holdco Ltd - AWL - which was announced in July. ‘With the announcement of the merger of Pernod Ricard Wines, Robert has decided that now is the right time to focus on the next phase of his career and move back to Texas permanently to spend more time with his family,’ said a spokesman.
Merger of product range with Pernod Ricard
AWL, a consortium of international institutional investors took over Accolade Wines from the US Carlyle Group in February. It intends to merge the new acquisitions from Pernod with the Accolade portfolio.
Robert Foye joined Accolade Wines in 2020 as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and moved to the role of CEO in the same year. Since then, according to Accolade, he has implemented significant restructuring throughout the company and positioned the company to succeed in all key markets despite significant external challenges. The Australian wine trading company, headquartered in Adelaide, includes brands such as Jam Shed and Hardys.
Ben Clark will assume the role of Executive Chairman and thus the management of the company. He was appointed Chairman of the Board of Accolade Wines in April this year. He has previously held a number of senior positions in food and beverage companies around the world. RW
