Sporting growth of over 30% in the year ending on the 30th of June 2006, Argentina has for the first time overtaken Chile as a the leading supplier
of wine in Brazil. With net sales of 32 millions dollars (25m ) Argentinean bodegas shipped 220,000 hectolitres of wines to the fastest growing wine market in South America. At the same time domestic production is rising rapidly, so that some analyst forecast Brazil becoming a net exporter of wine in ten years time.
