- Argentina is currently expecting 2.09m tonnes of grapes — a 9% increase compared to last year.
- Chile, on the other hand, is facing a significantly reduced harvest, with volumes projected to be 20–30% below average.
- In South Africa, the harvest is expected to be slightly above last year’s extremely low level. The new vintage is already being traded — at noticeably higher prices.
- In Australia, only vague rumours are circulating that white wine volumes are likely to be slightly down on last year.
- New Zealand is heading for a large harvest. Sauvignon Blanc prices continue to fall, while price drops in other categories are mainly due to exchange rate effects.
