Prices from Italy remain largely unchanged. Only one perennial favorite is seeing an increase: Primitivo di Manduria has risen in value.
In southern France, according to bulk wine brokers Ciatti, most purchases are made on a need-only basis — fittingly, the price ranges reported by FranceAgriMer are very wide. Overall, red wine prices are trending slightly upward, while rosé is seeing a slight decline. Also according to Ciatti, demand has increased for generic white wines with alcohol levels between 12% and 13%, as Spanish whites from the 2024 vintage tend to have lower alcohol content.
In Spain, experts report that current demand is not particularly strong, but cheap wines are also nearly unavailable — meaning Spain will likely enter the new harvest nearly sold out. Currently, low-alcohol red wines such as basic table Tempranillo are in demand, mainly from mulled wine producers.
