Stephanie Gallo, Gallo's Chief Marketing Officer, stated that by acquiring the Bev portfolio, the company will be able to offer consumers a wide range of products for every occasion.

Bev was founded in 2017 by Alix Peabody in Venice, California. Its mission is to "do it differently, do it better, break the glass". Peabody, the CEO of Bev, wants to address a shift in drinking culture and emphasize the empowerment of women in business through her brand. She said: "I founded Bev out of a passion to change not only the beverages in our hands but also the culture of drinking. For us, it's about strengthening communities and inspiring people to celebrate themselves and have fun. We are thrilled about this partnership and can't wait to expand the reach of our products and our community."

The Bev portfolio includes Bev Rosé, Bev Blanc, Bev Gris, Bev Noir, Bev Glitz, Bev Glam, Bev Glow, Bev PRIDE, and the newly introduced Bev Brite. All varieties are sourced from California and are available in 4-packs of 250ml cans, priced between $15.99 and $17.99 (Photo: The Alixir Co.'s)

Bev is said to be the first sugar-free wine in cans approved by the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB). The gluten-free wines contain 3 grams of carbohydrates and 100 calories per serving, with an alcohol content of 11.9%.

The terms of the agreement have not been disclosed. Alix Peabody will continue to be involved with the brand, although her specific role is unknown. PD
