As the official harvest reports from the Southern Hemisphere trickle in, the Northern Hemisphere is already preparing for autumn. In California, stocks are high before the harvest, and, similar to France and Spain, a good harvest is expected. Consequently, there is a tendency for slightly declining prices as producers aim to clear out their cellars. In Chile, prices temporarily spiked due to an anticipated small harvest—though the official report is still pending. However, this effect seems to have already dissipated, much like the China effect on Australian red wine prices. Overall, the global bulk wine market remains calm.

The global bulk wine market is entering its traditional July-August lull while the Northern Hemisphere enjoys its summer holidays. The focus is on the vineyards ahead of the hemisphere’s coming 2024 harvests, but there are currently plenty of highly-attractive bulk wine opportunities for buyers to harness.
