The global bulk wine market recently remained steady, showing typical summer calm, according to bulk wine brokers from Ciatti. However, a white wine shortage is looming in Chile. The official report for the 2024 vintage was released in August, estimating a total harvest of 9.3m hectoliters—15.6% less than the previous year and the smallest harvest since the earthquake year of 2010. Consequently, white wine prices are rising, and grape contracts for 2025 are already being signed at significantly higher prices than for 2024.

In New Zealand, both 2023 and 2024 wines are still widely available, though the 2024 vintage can sometimes cost nearly double that of 2023.
