The global French conglomerate Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH) has announced that Cécile Cabanis will become the Deputy Finance Director and is set to eventually succeed Jean-Jacques Guiony as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), according to a report by Just Drinks.

Cabanis joined the dairy group Danone in 2004, where she held various positions, including Corporate Finance Director, Mergers & Acquisitions Director, and Finance Director of the Fresh Products Division, before becoming CFO. In 2021, she moved to Tikehau Capital as Deputy CEO. According to her LinkedIn profile, she also holds management roles at Schneider Electric and Mediawan.

The company commented: "Jean-Jacques Guiony will prepare for the gradual handover of his responsibilities to Cécile Cabanis to ensure a seamless transition in this critical role for our group. His new responsibilities will be announced in due course."

The French are drinking less wine - including rosé which had been enjoying spectacular growth. Exports of pink wine have fallen too.
