iDealwine Becomes the Auctioneer for Hospices de Nuits-Saint-Georges, the wine auction house announced. The partnership will begin with the next annual wine auction on March 9, 2025, held as usual at the Château du Clos de Vougeot in Beaune. The collaboration aims to further promote the auction's ongoing growth and rising prominence. Supported by cutting-edge technology, the new partnership seeks to expand access to a growing number of wine enthusiasts and collectors worldwide.

Digitization and internationalization

This move marks a clear realignment to advance the modernization of the auction in terms of digitization, 360-degree communication, and internationalization, according to iDealwine. Guillaume Koch, Director of the Hospices de Nuits and Hospices Civils de Beaune, confirmed: “We are very excited about the collaboration with iDealwine, a respected wine auction platform with an excellent reputation both in France and internationally. (…) Our goal is to further develop the wine auction at the Hospices de Nuits-Saint-Georges, an event that attracts more visitors each year and continues to grow in prestige.”

Auction house and wine merchant in one

iDealwine is the largest French wine auction house. Since its founding in 2000, the platform has claimed to become the global leader in online wine auctions. In addition to this, iDealwine operates as an online wine merchant, offering a selection of premium wines at fixed prices. The company also has an international presence, with about 60 wine experts spread across offices in Paris, Beaune, Bordeaux, as well as Hong Kong, Singapore, and the USA.

Expertise in digital marketing

Cyrille Jomand, CEO and auctioneer of iDealwine, affirms: “We have a special passion for the wines of this region – that’s why we opened an office in Beaune – and we’ve been following them closely for many years. This partnership offers us the perfect opportunity to demonstrate our extensive expertise in organizing wine auctions, both offline and online, as well as in global communication and digital marketing.”

iDealwine succeeds auctioneer Hugues Cortot of Cortot & Associés, who managed the Hospices de Nuits-Saint-Georges wine auctions for the past five years. The eponymous Domaine is both a hospital and vineyard, founded in 1270.
