The leading international trade fair for organic wine, Millésime Bio, will take place in two forms in 2022. After only being able to run a digital version last time, the organisers are relying on a hybrid format next year: there will be a digital version on 17 and 18 January, followed by the traditional face-to-face fair in Montpellier from 24 to 26 January. The main theme of this year's event will be beer and cider.
450 exhibitors will take part in the online edition, and the format is to be based on the one tested in 2021, the organisers say. This is to reach participants who cannot or do not want to travel due to the pandemic.
According to the organisers', all exhibitor places for the analogue fair have already been booked, but a waiting list exists for those who would like to join it.
In January 2020, Bio Millésime was one of the last fairs to be organized before the pandemic made them impossible to run. At that time, there were around 1,300 exhibitors and 6,850 visitors from 52 countries. Visitor tickets will be available from 21 October, but pre-registration is already possible.
