The French cooperative La Chablisienne saw sales rise by 6.6% to 7.4 million bottles in 2006. Turnover, however, fell by 2.4% to 41.8 million Euros, bringing the average price down almost ten percent to 4.20 Euros per bottle. With 318 members
possessing 1,245 hectares, La Chablisienne is by far the largest producer in the region, accounting for almost forty percent of total production in Chablis. 61% of that volume is sold off-shore, with the United Kingdom being the single largest market outside France.
