Anyone involved in buying or selling wine and spirits in the Asian region — or looking to enter the market — cannot afford to miss one event: Vinexpo Asia. Organized by the Vinexposium group — internationally renowned for the successful development of Wine Paris — the Asia edition alternates annually between Hong Kong and, as this year, Singapore.
From May 27–29, the Expo & Convention Centre at Marina Bay Sands, located right on Singapore’s waterfront and known for its iconic architecture, will become the epicenter of the wine and spirits trade in the Asia-Pacific region. More than 1,000 exhibitors from around the world will present their portfolios.
Familiar and new faces
France has always had a strong presence in the region, and French wine and spirits remains particularly popular in Asia. Over one-third of the exhibitors hail from France. Other key partners with strong sales potential in Asian target markets include Wine Australia (with 60 co-exhibitors), Wines of Argentina (5 co-exhibitors), Wines of Chile (13 co-exhibitors), and the California Wine Institute (12 co-exhibitors).
Visitors can also look forward to new participants this year: making their debut are Wines of South Africa (8 co-exhibitors), New Zealand Wine (6 co-exhibitors), the Argentine trade institute ProMendoza, as well as China’s market leader Ningxia Changyu Longyu Estate and the Chinese province of Guizhou (Qianjiu Global Tour), represented by 15 wine and spirits co-exhibitors.

“Vinexpo Asia isn’t just where the market meets — it’s where strategies are shaped. By connecting international producers with the pulse of Southeast Asia’s key markets, the event actively drives the region’s influence on global wine and spirits trade.”
Key markets and trends in focus
Vinexpo Asia’s relevance in today’s economically challenging wine and spirits landscape is reflected in its growing attendance: compared to 2023, this year’s event expects around 11,000 wine professionals — an increase of over 10%.
Attendees come from 70 countries, including the most important Asian wine markets — not just the established ones like Singapore, Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, but also emerging markets from booming Southeast Asia such as such as Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and India. Vinexpo Asia effectively combines today’s solid market presence with the promising sales opportunities of tomorrow.
“In Thai culture, personal connection comes first, and Vinexpo Asia gives us that chance to meet face-to-face, share ideas, and build trust. If you want to make serious moves in Asia, this is where you start,” says Piyapong Karnchanatanon, Lucky Team Co., Thailand.
Prosecco, for instance, is increasingly popular among young, lifestyle-oriented consumers. This demographic is open to modern, innovative brands — not just in the sparkling wine category, but also in RTDs, mixed drinks, and cocktails, which are gaining traction as well. In younger markets, wine and spirits consumption is growing in the hospitality sector, as local consumers are just beginning to discover the enjoyment of these products. Across all markets, today’s economic pressures are placing more emphasis on the value-for-money.

Conclusion: Vinexpo Asia is a must-attend
Asian countries hold tremendous potential for the sale of wine, spirits, and related beverage categories. That’s why any wine professional would be well advised to explore current and future markets firsthand — and especially to meet the people shaping them. Vinexpo Asia is the perfect place to do just that — or, as Rodolphe Lameyse puts it, “The industry is facing a turning point — shifting consumption patterns, the impact of climate change, and evolving regulations. Vinexposium brings clarity: helping businesses stay focused, adapt fast, and connect with the right partners to stay ahead. Vinexpo Asia embodies this mission.”
