From morning until late afternoon, the ProWein days are dedicated to discovery, negotiation, and networking. Afterward, it's time to relax by participating in one of the many Wine & Dine opportunities, joining a champagne tasting, or perhaps visiting a fine restaurant with an extensive wine list. Wine & Dine

Cheers Hotte!

At the beginning of March, the South African winemakers can already estimate what the 2024 vintage is going to be like. During the three-course South African dinner at the restaurant Hotte-Hü, situated in Düsseldorf, Hellerhof, you won’t get to taste any new wines. Instead, Piekenierskloof Winery from Citrusdal will show you how the Swartland region has developed.

    High-end winemaker’s evening

Chef Lukas Jakobi has made a name for himself with his unique style, which is as casual as it is fabulous. A countertop rather than a tablecloth, cool cuisine. You’ll always find the ideal wines here but even more so on 8 March. Welcome to a winemaker’s evening, which will be organised together with the Heiligenblut winery – you’ll be talking about it for a long time to come.

    Spain meets Asia

It begins with white. Weinakademiker Markus J. Eser kicks off the event by presenting not only Cava, but also white wines from Rías Baixas, produced from the grape varieties Albariño and Verdejo, which comes from the Rueda region. He will then present three red wines from Rioja and compare them with wines from the higher-lying Toro and Ribera del Duero growing regions. Will the proposed four-course dinner with Asian flair be a good match? You’ll have to wait and see!

    Almost a party at Agata’s

At Agata’s, you can enjoy a relaxed but sophisticated culinary experience.

    Crispy & fluid

“It’s going to be crowded,” says sommelier, gastronome and wine-hipster Toni Askitis. They aren’t planning anything special, but everyone knows that this is the best place to lean back and enjoy the most uncomplicated centrally positioned spot in Düsseldorf, snacks included. They are also reputed to provide cool hip-hop beats and lively wines. Whereas previously they had to improvise with recommendations, this year they have a wine list. And the chips? Really good!

    Cooked with care

The somewhat different gourmet restaurant. "The special thing about our food is that it is always superbly tasty and light," says Eva Herrmann, the manager of The Fritz Hotel. "With no lactose, no industrial sugar, and an abundance of vegan and vegetarian dishes... I believe cooking at this level is extraordinarily visionary."

Regional, health-conscious and high-class dining at Fritz’s Frau Franzi during the trade fair.

        Riesling and Leberwurst

As in the previous year, Pfalzwein e.V.’s chillout offers those two things that are simply inseparable for a true resident of the Palatinate: Riesling with bread and Leberwurst (liver spread). An unbeatable combination.
